My Story

Hi! I’m Alex.

 

History

I have 15+ years of experience in designing hair. I’ve loved doing hair since I was a child, and it’s part of who I am.  I began my hair journey right out of high school. I trained and worked in North Vancouver for about 8 years. After that, I branched out into my own business doing freelance bridal styling. My next chapter was starting a family. I had 3 babies, opened up my own home-based hair salon, and started making jewelry on the side. While working at home was nice, I craved being around other designers—so here I am now, sharing a space at the Foundry.

Style and expertise

I thrive on anything that is nature-inspired, feminine, and organic looking.

I love creating effortless and “lived-in” looks that will grow out beautifully. Other techniques I offer are grey blending, balayage, and AirTouch—all done with the health of your hair being put first.

Last but not least, one of my favourites: bridal styling, which I offer as a mobile service.

I believe your hair appointment is not only about the final look but also the experience. We want to feel relaxed, inspired, and most importantly, ourselves! Your appointment will include instructions on styling and which products to use at home. I want to work with your natural hair and give you a look that you can spend minimal time on.
